Merck (NYSE:MRK) cholesterol drug Vytorin, an ezetimibe-simvastatin combo, successfully cuts the risk of heart attacks and strokes in high-risk patients more than simvastatin alone, said the drugmaker in its nearly decade-long, 18,144-patient study.
